Join us as we discuss financial reporting, document storage, and non-signer statement reviews. This roundtable is aimed at treasurers and others from your board of directors that have financial questions, including your non-signer that reviews your bank and online payment statements each month.

This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one PTA officer each year.

Join Washington State PTA Corporate Finance Committee members as we talk about 990 filings and insurance. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered about these incredibly important topics.
MANAGING YOUR NONPROFIT PTA
November 6, 2024 (6-9 pm)
The financial management of the PTA is the responsibility of the entire board of directors. Learn the basic financial skills to manage and track PTA funds, online accounts, legal obligations to maintain your tax-exempt status and other considerations. Recommended for all elected officers and board members.
NEGOTIATING CONFLICT
November 14, 2024 (6:30-8:30 pm)
Participants will learn strategies for fostering positive and productive relationships with volunteers, board members, and other adults who work with PTA in a variety of roles. It’s not always easy, but with some empathy, some careful listening, and some strategies for when conflict arises, you can get the most from your PTA relationships.
